Located in the remote far edge of Hyrule Kingdom and cradled deep within the far reaches of Tanagar Canyon stands the Temple of the Four Sword. It is said that the Tower of Winds once stood in its place, rising from the depths of the canyon and stretching far into the skies above, but since its collapse nearly fifty years ago, all signs of the tower have all but vanished, and in its place the Temple was erected.
The Temple itself exists as a marvel of construction in terms which very nearly overshadow Hyrule Castle itself; it towers from the base of the canyon very nearly to the top cliffs of its walls and stretches from one wall of the canyon to the other, with it stretching nearly three times as long as it is wide. Erected outside its entrance stand four towering pillars, each of which is emblazoned with the crests of Hyrule and the marks of the Four Elements, and the front of the Temple is decorated with colossal statues of birds once said to fly the skies of the realm.
For as far as how the Temple of the Four Sword itself appears, more than anything, the structure appears to be an immense stronghold. Patrolling the entrance, all along up the stairs and leading into the Temple, and along the walls are countless soldiers, with several outposts belonging to the Hylian Army set up alongside the canyon walls. It is believed that among these soldiers, there are innumerable Sheikah who protect the it. Within the Temple, there stand a series of gates, secured both mechanically and by the magic of the Temple Maidens.
And at the far end of the Temple, guarded and secured by the might and power of Hyrule, rests the Four Sword Sanctuary. It is here that it is said Ganon, the King of Darkness, remains sealed, locked away by the Four Sword.
