"Four people, perfect. We have our raid." Karina looked to Wrecker and each of their volunteers, giving an approving nod.
"Wait, won't we want more against a patrol?"
Karina shook her head. "Not with the resources we have. We want to scare them into running away so we can take their outpost with as little damage as possible. That's your job - the Army hasn't managed to fully adapt to gunpowder yet, and some arquebus fire should send the bulk of them running. Plus, the more people we have with us, the more visible we are to them and their cannons. This s a good size for taking them by surprise." Their goal here was to extend their network, as well as their resources. They didn't need to commit to the fight just yet.
"We attack the outpost after they've sent their patrol out. That way we can take it while it's weak, and fortify ourselves for when they come back. With luck, we'll be able to convince some of the conscripts and the villagers to come to our side."

*Enter Damien*
There it was, at last. The place where the woman named Karina Siegler was. Damien had hesitated back and fort during his ride here. If he joined these people he would reach the point of no return. The King had wrongfully exiled him but he understood why the man had done so and held no hard feelings. Nevertheless, the system was flawed and needed to change. His giant claymore hang on the side of the horse, its handle within reach if Damien needed to fight, and he caught himself drumming the handle casually, something he did when he was uncertain.
He had to see what they were, these rebels, WHO they were. Approaching the fortress, the hooded figure that was Damien Lyonsbane took a deep breath, it was now time. He moved his hand away from the sword handle as he got within line of sight from the Fortress so that he would not appear hostile.
'Now to wait and see', he thought to himself.
