Zoran and Goron forces prepared to take the eastern side of the city by force. The moat, however, seemed to be more dangerous than a stormy sea, and the bridge to the town was heavily guarded by Thorodan's soldiers. This side of town had some siege weaponry mounted upon the walls, particularly ballistae in order to counter the Gorons' natural hardiness.
Leading a squadron of sorcerers that kept the moat nearly impossible to cross was one of Thorodan's sages and no less than his apprentice. To make matters worst, it would seem that even in death, Thorodan could invoke a shade of one of his most terrible minions.

Left with the least covered battlefront, Aethelnoth examined the Allied forces of the Goron and Zora with a distant interest. At the very least, he didn't have to bring in any footsoldiers of his own. Instead he had an elite force standing with him. The Crusade. A more unusual band of misfits was yet to be seen, but he trusted them all the same.
Powers returned and quite admittedly itching for a good fight to try them out, he felt confident. The battlefront wasn't exactly optimal for them, but they were the ones being counted on to storm the east side of the city.
Eclipsis remained sheathed on his back as he crossed his arms and looked over at Dominicia. "How about a kiss, for luck?" He prompted, teasing her.

Alzion held himself in silence as he rode alongside his compatriots, a spyglass held up to his face as he observed the entrance to the town. The battlefront here was unorthodox and inconvenient.
On one hand, they had this straightforward dark rider to contend with. A force to be reckoned with for certain, but not one they would not be able to handle. They had not only the brute force of the Gorons on their side, after all.
The Spirit's tease forces the Crusader to suppress a sigh.
There he is again, wearing his emotions on his sleeve and his pride on his banner. That's where the trouble is going to come in. It is indeterminable what exact magic he is feeling upon this battlefield– it is unfamiliar enough to him, that much is certain –but with the straightforward tactic of the rider, it is almost certain that whatever is backing him up will make up for disadvantages he had.
"...not taking into account the remainder of the forces," he said quietly to himself.
The Zora were not going to be infiltrating the battlefield from there. His information gathering had failed to show any signs of any true Sage of Water being present, so they had no method with which to counter the dragon's own. Were the water still, Her Grace may have had a method with which to work from, but... Alzion quietly studies the fortifications for several moments longer. This was going to be a complicated approach.
This was one of the few battles Link had chosen to leave Epona from. Usually, he may have chosen to ride into battle upon his trusty steed, but this time was different. This time, he needed to blend in. Fortunately, with how tall all the Zora and Gorons stood next to both him and Erin, it wasn't too difficult to hide among the crowd. Melissa was a bit of a different story, but he was sure she could take care of herself.
All the same, the real challenge wasn't keeping from being spotted. It was managing to get past their adversaries and past the gates. He takes in a deep breath and looks over to his side at his leader. Asking if she was okay was perhaps what he wanted to say. Instead, he signs, 'You ready?'

To say that Erin was nervous would be a lie, she was terrified! It was not that she had any kind of training in the field of battle, let alone a warzone like they were about to embark into once this all clashed down. As she always did when nervous she was fiddling with the sleeve on her dress, watching the gorons and the zora as they were standing around them. Could she really do this? It was not only that her plan was beyond stupid, it was more dangerous than anything she might have done in this situation. But... it had to be done, right? As she looked up towards the looming shadow of the castle she was not feeling as confident as when she first told Link and Melissa that she was set on trying to talk with Thorodan, the encounter with that other dragon in the ruins had made her think even more, it all seemed to be off, the same sensation she had about the events in the domain. It was like someone was not telling the whole story. Her thinking was interrupted when she noticed how Link was trying to get her attention, she watched him in silence as he was talking... or well signed. "I'm sorry, yes, I'm as ready as I will ever be." she replied to his inquiry. "We just need to find a way to sneak past a big army, climb to the top of a cursed castle and tell one of the most powerful creatures in Hyrule that he is being mean... what could go wrong?" Even if she tried to lighten the mood a little, her voice was still shaking ever so slightly. [ColorCode: 935cc5]

War. Once more Melissa stood ready for war. She hated it, but the enemy had threatened her land, and she would not take it. With her journey, she had grown more confident as well as powerful, and reached the realization that she would never be like Link, and she didn't WANT to. She was her own hero, and she was a champion ALONGSIDE him, which was the perfect resolution. She felt at peace with herself, and although she could have done with the gods talking to her a little more, she couldn't have everything, so what she had now was more than fine, it was great.
She glanced over to Link, standing there with the Master Sword. It was an impressive weapon, but as was hers, the sword named Lightbringer. Perhaps not as powerful as the Blade of Evil's Bane that Link wore, but the power did not matter. Melissa knew she was capable of combating Thorodan, and she had the aerial advantage that Link did not have. It was no competition, however, and she was now glad, and honored, to fight by his side, as his expertise was well needed in these dark times to come. Looking at him now, that all was said and done, filled her with courage and confidence, where it before had filled her with anxiety and doubt. Together, they would vanquish the evil that loomed over the land. Together they would bring Thorodan to Justice.
Snapping out of her thoughts, her gaze switched to Erin. The younger girl's innocence reminded her of Elyssa in a way, and the Paladin couldn't help but to think what her best friend was currently up to, hopefully she was safely away from the war. She didn't want someone like Erin to fight, the girl was obviously terrified! Not that the younger woman wasn't competent and capable, but Melissa had devoted her life to this, it was her purpose to fight (and thus risk dying), defending her home, Erin was not.
She saw the nervousness of the other woman and approached her, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder and lightly squeezing it. "I understand if you're scared, Erin, I'm afraid too, but you have my word, I will not allow anything to happen to you. If our negotations with the wyrm fail, I want you to run while we attempt to fight him off". Melissa pulled out her sword, Lightbringer, and held it up infront of her, closing her eyes.
Her enchanted blade was not as powerful as the Master Sword, but with her current powers, and the magic powers the weapon DID possess, she believed she had a fighting chance against Thorodan, as she was expecting the negotiations to fail. She would without a doubt put her entire heart into trying to convince him, it was not that she WISHED or wanted them to fail, but she doubted Thorodan would listen to reason, and if he didn't, he would taste the cold steel of Justice. Taking a few deep breaths, she felt her spirits rising, and now.. Now she was ready.
Opening her eyes again, her resolve now boosted and her gaze being like steel, she looked down at Erin, emanating a slightly glowing aura of Confidence and Hope.. "I am not one for sneaking, I'm afraid, but I could fly up. I could probably only carry one of you with me on my back, though. There is no telling what will stand in our path as soon as we get going, but whatever it may be.. I am ready. I will do what you decide is best, though, I'm trusting you on this one, Erin. Which approach should we take?"

Dominicia stood beside her husband, frowning at the water. Far too murky to be of use. She had far too little, they had far too much. That was the way of these things. She frowned when Aethelnoth addressed her.
"My kisses are rewards and treasures to be given as I see fit and cherished thereafter. If you wish to earn one, then do something worthwhile. Me and you shall face the demon on our own. Let our... companions deal with the dragon."
When he looked away, her eyes darted from side to side. When nobody had their eyes upon her, she blew him a kiss and silently mouthed 'luck' before admonishing herself for behaving like a silly girl.

"Oh, it's a damn shame." Aethelnoth shrugged and put on his helmet. "Guess it's time to kill some demons then." He began to create orbs of metal in his hand, making them hover around his gauntlet for the time being.
Syndellius adjusted his hat and stood by Erin, Melissa and Link. He looked at his apprentice as the paladin offered her words of comfort. "She's right, you know. We've got some really good friends to rely on. And of course, your potential is something that should not be underestimated, Erin. We'll get through this just fine, I'm sure." The wizard said, trying to reinforce the optimistic feeling Melissa was trying to nurture, though he himself had his doubts about this confrontation.
----
On the other side of the battlefield, Nesenth looked over at the enemy forces. He signaled his own soldiers to hold. The siege weaponry was ready and aimed, and the sorcerers were keeping the moat impossible to cross. He would not begin this battle. He knew his job was to buy his master the time he required. Only a fool would force the enemy to charge.
With an otherworldly screech, Kyraan's mount charged from the walls and towards the fields. The rider raised his sword high as he let out a battle cry. Then as he landed upon the fields he dug his sword into the ground and kept running on the edge of the field, making a wall of dark fire in a line before the moat. The rider placed himself by it, pointing his blade at the army and pounding his armor with his fist.

Alzion did not need his spyglass to observe as the battle began. With the Gorons, the fire was hardly an issue. It was more the darkness imbued within it that would cause trouble for them.
He drew in a deep breath, but once again managed to keep himself from outwardly sighing. This was growing more complicated by the moment. Alzion would put his own efforts into detangling all these spells, but it would be him alone working against many others, including at least a good few he presumed were more experienced than himself. That aside, it would be a far too tedious process for what they needed to accomplish. No, it would be more beneficial of him to combat their powers with his own.
He curled his fingers down over his palms, a soft glow surrounding them. He had his sword, but his illusionary magic is what he had most readily available. Besides, Death Havoc would only be useful once any of their enemy's were actually in range.
He stares down at the hilt of the weapon.
Regardless. Whatever they chose to do, they couldn't afford to stand around for long. Thorodan's forces relied on them either being defeated or simply waiting for them attack; they had no reason to approach on their own. The Crusader steered his steed over toward Aethelnoth. "Orders, general?"
Link looks up at her as she responds. That's the bit of optimism he knew from her. And that Ordon courage. He takes one of her hands in his own, gripping it reassuringly. He looks briefly at Melissa and then back to Erin and gives her a confident nod.
If this didn't work– No, that was something he would think about later. Something about all this had been starting to nag at him, and he was sure it was something Erin had already taken notice of. He didn't know what it was, but there was something more. He just hoped they would be able to figure it out before it became too late.
They had Melissa's assistance and the Gorons could probably provide a way there. But he was no tactician. If it was up to him though... His eyes travel along the walls of the castle town.
He turns back to face his comrades again, grabbing a couple pieces from his arsenal hanging his waist and holding them up. His dual-clawshots. Of all his missing equipment, they too had been delivered to him. With the versatility in their uses, it would have been ridiculous to leave him without them. Erin and Link could use the clawshots to get in as well. They just had to get close enough to the town walls.
As they spoke, the sound of Goron voices rose up from the front lines. It seemed something was going on...
As the Crusaders continued to deliberate their plans, the Allied Forces in the northeast made their first move. A pair of fireballs flew through the air like missiles, soaring toward the town wall battlements. Moments later, another wave of fireballs soared after them. A squadron of Gorons had advanced partway down the battlefield– just close enough –hurling fire magic across the battlefield toward Thorodan's forces. It seemed they had been granted power... though from where, it was uncertain.

Erin bit her lower lip as the others talked, trying to make her feel better, it did help a little, but she was still uncertain about this whole plan. But, she could not back down now, not when so much was at stake. Her eyes turned to examine the castle town, and the looming shadow that had once been Hyrule Castle. "Thank you, Melissa, it means a lot to know that. I promise I will not be in the way if my plan fails, you have my support to kill Thorodan if... it does not work out the way I hope." She replied, her voice shaking slightly, but she did her best to keep it steady. "at the moment they are careful not to let people into the town, or rather, an army into the town. But we are not an army, we are just four people." She said this mostly to herself, her mind working hard to think on what she knew about the current situation. "I have an idea... I think. Even if it's going to be rather, uncomfortable." Her gaze turned to look at Syndellius. "Master.... could you turn us into mice, and hide our auras from the enemy?" It was not that she might not do that herself, but she did not want to risk it, as she was less experienced with that sort of magic. "The enemy is all focused outwards on the town, they won't be looking inside as long as the army is... outside."
She blushed slightly and filled with her sleeve. "You... think that might work as a way to get us inside?"
