Hyrule's Allied Front would find its greatest opposition on the southern gates to the city. Knowing that Hyrule's main army would advance through the south allowed the Vile Wyrm to deploy his forces in kind.
A frontline of heavily armored soldiers greeted them, in close formation wielding lances and shields, a veritable wall to hold off infantry and cavalry alike. In the rear lines, sorcerers stood at the ready, weaving incantations and spells to bolster their allies and weaken their enemies.
Reinforcements filled the bridge to the town and likely there were more to come.
Leading the southern front were two of Thorodan's sages.

Opposite Thorodan's forces approached the forces of Hyrule. Already, they held control of the Faron Fields and the bottleneck that opened up toward the southern gates of Castle Town's remains.
Though she had only just arrived in recent days, already Chief Commander Lorelle stood once more upon the battlefield, joining the Queen of Hyrule and her High Generals in heading the Hyrulean Armies. Nor was Hyrule alone in its march toward the fallen kingdom.
All of the realm joined them at long last, gathering in a unified power against the Vile One. Alongside them fought the Gerudo of realm's deserts, Gorons of the realm's mountains, Zora of the realm's waters, Liberation Band of the realm's harmony, and even Demons of the realm's shadows. That's right, even the Crusade had joined the Allied Forces in the end... Hilda can feel the presence of the Demoness of the Crusade that had joined them for this one final battle.
But there were now no words left to impart upon her nor any of their forces. All the speeches had been spoken, all the orders delivered.
All that remained were the foes that lay before them. There were to be no prisoners, no quarter held. If a soldier was given the opportunity to strike down a foe, they were to bring them down. They would take back this land, this kingdom, and take the world in their hands once more. They would have no dragon stop them on this day.

Aeshra was standing near the frontlines, breathing heavily. She had helped setting up a little outpost in the Faron Fields, providing temporary barracks, and a play to take the wounded to, should the opportunity arise. At the moment, she stood tall, but what betrayed her pose was that she leaned against her staff. The process had been taxing on her, but she was slowly recovering, and felt she would be ready when the time to attack came.
Now that she was herself again, well and properly, she felt far more focused and powerful than in a long time, but at the same time, she was not eager to kill anmore, she wanted to focus on rebuilding, but it was impossible at the moment, given Thorodan's mere presence, so if fighting was what was required, she would fight. The dragon needed to be stopped once and for all if there was to be peace and time to rebuild.
Not that Aeshra didn't fight, she was no pacifist, it was just that all that had happened had taken its toll. She felt like she could lie down and sleep for a week, but it would have to wait.
Looking at the commanders near her. Hopefully, neither of them would fall, as it could be a serious blow to the morale, but she would have to cross that bridge when she reached it. Looking down at her big, paw-like hands. She had been without them for so long it felt weird seeing them again, but with a little flick of her hands, her claws grew in length and sharpeness, so that she could easily slice through flesh with it, and even light armors. Yeah, she was prepared. This was the day, this was the day where she either triumphed, and could start anew, or died trying, but IF she died, she'd die herself, at least, and not some husk of her former self.

On a nearby hill, a hooded figure watched the battle lines form. He was laying down on the dank grass with his walking stick at his side. It had become clear that he was not needed to lead the war, which was just as well. The task he was best suited for would leave him unable to order an army.
Despite the mass of forces here, he could see only four fighters total able to tip the scale, and those on Thorodan's side were much stronger. If nobody else arrived to help the forces of light, it seemed he would dance with two Sages at once. Though he had no confirmation, he could feel the fire sage up on the wall. He guessed it wasn't the one made out of living shadow.

Perched upon the walls of the frontline, the ethereal figure of the Sage of Shadow scanned the battlefield.
"The day of deliverance dawns upon this realm, yet the rats scurry to defend the prisons of their own making." Sekhon's tone was scornful, as the figure's clawed hands scratched the stone.
Raymond laughs. "I don't know about any of that. I just know sitting on that throne room with the boy-king of the Zora got me itching for a good fight. Enough crooked politics, I just want to crush these Hylians underfoot for all the trouble they've caused." He cracked his knuckles and waited for the first sign of battle.
As Raymond speaks, Sehkon draws his bow, and draws it to full length.
The dark arrow is let loose, whistling through the silent battlefield, soaring above Thorodan's forces and landing upon the neck of one of Hyrule's footsoldiers.
Thorodan's armies saw the sign and the soldiers at the frontline established a solid shieldwall, with lances backing them.
The sorcerers began to weave wards and incantations to protect the soldiers from long-range magical strikes, raising a protective dome.
Sekhon had landed the first blow, and the battle on the South had begun.

Lorelle watched on dispassionately as the two armies stared each other down. This couldn't stand, and it seemed that the opposition certainly seemed to think so as well. The commander silently studies her opponents as they took formation, following the strike. So this is how they chose to begin. She can feel the generals' eyes on her, awaiting orders. Celes and Impa stood at the front near her. But no, it was not yet time for them to move. Very soon. But first came the commander's response, and she hardly held desire to hold back. The Princess of Lorule rose her staff up in the air before her, a blue glow consuming its form. The inverted Triforce atop her staff shone brightly, marking her presence at the head of the Hyrulean forces. This would be Hyrule's last stand against Thorodan, and this time they would not be alone under the protection of their Goddess, but behind the wrathful fury of another as well. She stamped the butt of her staff upon the ground before her, and at once a shimmering wall of energy rose up before them, almost following in suit with Thorodan's forces. It arched up high into the air and shone brightly upon the battlefield, bathing the warriors of Hyrule in a blue light. Raising the staff up into the air once again, its tip still shining like a beacon, the woman held her arms out to her sides and called upon her power. A black, empty energy filled the space between the two armies and upon it the shining mark of the Hyrule formed. The circle grew as shimmering energy continued to form and then a wave of shadow overtook the spell, encapsulating it in Darkness. And from that Darkness rose a great beast, a rippling wave of dark power enveloping its monstrous form. The summoning magic faded away and Hilda looked forward upon the beast. "Gemesaur King, I command you," she spoke. "Obliterate the enemies of Hyrule! It is our turn to strike back at Thorodan." She turned to face her generals and the order was given. "Charge."
