Additionally, as the Champion of Hyrule Kingdom and the destined hero pure of heart and strong of body, she has been chosen by the spirit of the sacred sword as the wielder of the Blade of Evil's Bane. Though Link is well adept at using just about any weapon, the Master Sword is easily her signature weapon. It may appear an ordinary (if ornate) arming sword at first glance, but the sword is additionally enhanced with the holy blessings of Goddess Hylia and the Golden Goddesses, granting it the Power to Repel Evil and imbuing it with a sacred blue-white light that gives it an extra powerful edge against foes. Additionally, she may use it as a ranged weapon by charging it with sacred energy and releasing it in the form beaming arcs called Skyward Strikes.

Though Link is well adept at using just about any weapon, the Master Sword itself is to serve as her signature weapon.

     The sword was forged long ago under the sacred flames of the Golden Goddesses and blessed by the holy power of the Goddess Hylia, but its blade seems to have dulled in the years since its last use. Its sacred power may return to it in the presence of the purest of evils, but it is presently little more than an ordinary (if ornate) arming sword.
