Fuzzy shapes moved down below. So, so goddamn fuzzy.
"How in the goddamn do we use these like this. Magnification on them is fucking atrocious."
One of her many thoughts echoed back at her.
Use them? Well, I took them–
She cut them off.
"–as fashion accessory? Da, of course we did. Of all people, we would do that, wouldn't we."
Stupid idiot.
The mole sighed doggishly, lowering the spyglass away from her face and held her clawtips up to its side. Where she placed her hand, a black disk formed, and from the disk spread a wiry webbing, wrapping over the shape of the tool. This held for several moments more, and then there was a clicking from within the spyglass upon which the circuitry drew back, retreating into the disk at her hand once more as reality settled.
"We do know Jirando's having been captured makes for waste of body if we don't actually make use of sight he gave us, da?"
...Da.
No witty remark. Had she been too harsh? Not likely, Jinka wasn't that soft at her remarks.
Will be going to check out this marker the Madame found. Maybe we can ask about quarry there?
A pause. Finding information about their targets there? Unlikely. But at this point...
"Am closer, I'll do it. You stay there, sibling. Keep eye out for new wagons. Information."
New information, three months into posting? At this point, we know lead scientists are long gone.
"But now we know energy source. See if you can spot where they are keeping flame. They've been taking tech out, but bringing nothing in. They must have local containment brazier." She pulled herself up off the ground, brushing dust and rocks out of her hair. A toss of the spyglass over her shoulder, dismissing it back to her sibling. At least they could make use of it now. Standing on the mountainside, she looked down the cliffs upon where the Sheikah settlement stood. To most eyes, the area was not but a nondescript empty valley, likely teeming with monsters. But to Jinka and Jaclyn? Well, they'd already had eyes down below. Whatever shadow magics the Sheikah were using to cloak the area had failed to take the Difesa into account.
"Let's see what we can unearth," Jaclyn said, this time to no one in particular.
She turned around. She'd need a better disguise than this primitive mogma skin she was using. By the time she stood on the plateau that trailed southwards to the sea, she had just the fitting replacement. A hand run through her flaming red hair. A look down the plain. A smile. So this harbor ahead... that was its little secret, hm? What an excellent excuse for the establishment of such a faraway Hyrulean settlement.
