A volcanic mountain residing at the far northeastern edge of Hyrule, Death Mountain houses is well known as the home of the rocky mountain people, the Gorons.

It is well known for active volcanic activity spanning over the ages, providing the source of the mountain's name, and it is said that the clouds which wreathe its skies are known to show the status of mountain.

Board Description
Eldin Mountains
A series of mountain that dominate the northeastern border of the realm. Features located upon the mountain range include the Trilby Highlands, Eldin Valley, and Mt. Crenel, but most prominent of all them is the imposing Death Mountain.

It is said that they once featured a second volcano from which their name derived, but nearly 150 years ago, a catastrophe of some sort resulted in its destruction and the two mountains fused into one monster volcano.
