Like Sheik, Bongol's attention was drawn toward the intruding clergywoman. Who was this stranger? Recognizable, yet zil was unfamiliar with her. Zil knew her name. Her position in Devoted. Yet, not her history. Not that it mattered in this moment. In this moment, the entirety of her existence was that of an interloper. One which zil could do nothing about.
One zil could do nothing about now. But there were others around, just in case. There always were.
When her eyes traveled over the group they stood among, zil locked eyes with her. The Sheikah tilted zar head ever so slightly and arched a brow, looking up to the Gerudo. Perhaps it was an expression of examination? Scrutinizing her? Reading her? Whatever thoughts zil had on her, they remained unsaid, as zil only turned to face the king once the look between them broke.
Whatever words zil had for her could be spoken later. Instead, their words to the king were brief, giving a small nod to acknowledge the truth in her words. "It is true enough that the chosen of our Gerudo allies has yet to arrive, Your Majesty." There was no use denying that. And regardless, zil knew just how this was going to play out. They all had to act appropriately.
Link too noticed her arrival, and looked up at her curiously. Perhaps fortunately enough, the knight's attention was drawn away as Master Strigidae and his apprentice continued to make a ruckus. She leaned back a little, unable to keep from staring whilst the owly Rito squawked away, but all the same she found herself raising a hand to cover her mouth. As familiar as the situation was, she was finding it difficult to keep from laughing over Rukaal's misery at dealing with his master. Maybe something for them to bond over later? She laughed quietly.
Still, she better maintain her composure. At the sound of the king's voice, the knight looked forward once again. Despite Rosa's seeming inclusion, it seemed the Gorons and Zora remained absent, but... It seemed further discussion on such matters would wait to be addressed till they were alone.
Those other guests thus began to depart from the scene upon the ending words of the King's speech. Some spoke in hushed voices, others with excitement, and others simply looked back upon the emptying chamber before departing themselves. One by one, they left. Ambassadors of fellow nations, ranked members of the Hyrulean military, noble men and women and otherwise who stood to represent their peoples, even the religious clergy– who nervously looked back in Rosa's direction –were ushered from the hall.
And soon enough all that remained besides His Majesty and Her Highness were her four allies: Gerudo, Rito, Sheikah, and Lokomo. Those who would be Champions of the Light.
After a moment, Link turned to face her companions. "I suppose I should introduce myself as well?" The knight looked down at the cloth-wrapped shape in her hands. Then she carefully unwrapped the scabbard of the Master Sword and pulled the poncho over her body, allowing herself to display the full Hero's Tunic. She gazed up to King Elphias and Princess Zelda and bowed her head.
"I am Link, and I am here to serve as your Champion in the name of Hyrule and her People."

"Marvelous!"Rosa slid up to Link's side, her hands finding contact with the azure tunic of the Hero. Her emerald eyes were wide like a child's, and the Minister seemed wholly obsessed with the masterful artistry. The Gerudo's curious hands drifted to the scabbard of the sacred sword, though she pulled them away quickly before touching the holy artifact. "Apologies!" she proclaimed, being jolted back to her senses. Rosa found herself bowing and prostrating desperately out of embarrassment. "I assume too much, my dear. I fear my excitement betrays my... inexperience in this station.Rising to her feet, Rosa could not help but turn her eyes to the Sheikah Champion once more. She had realized the two were exchanging glances all too frequently since she had first spoken up, and the Minister disliked the thought that others would begin to notice. Thus, she addressed the issue. "We are truly blessed to have so many representatives of Her Supreme Light fighting on behalf of her lands," Rosa proclaimed with an appreciative smile towards Bongol. "The Sheikah are recognized by the Devoted as supreme guardians of Hyrule's most sacred family. I am glad to see our recognition hasn't been... misguided."~~~ A handful of plumage rained down on the champions from above, one end of each feather the shade of a mountain's base and the other of a snow-capped summit. Master Strigidae landed amidst the champions with an audible grunt, staying in his landing crouch for several moments too long. He stretched out with an audible creak and turned his amber eyes upwards, scanning the giants around him closely for the first time. "Hrm..." the old Rito pondered, nodding subtly during his scrutinizing. "Think I can work with this." He waddled out of the group to the side of the chamber and paused in deep thought, then suddenly spun about with his wings held wide and a look of childish glee on his face.
"Good lookin' bunch!" the elder squawked, bouncing from one talon to another in a celebratory dance. "You lot are easy on this old coot's eyes! You hear 'Champions' and think of a bunch of scarred-up meatheads, but this is a pleasant surprise. Who would have thought that the best and brightest of Hyrule were a bunch of babes!" Striggy folded his wings and approached the king, whistling an old Rito folk song. "You sure know how to pick 'em, Elphias. You and I, we share... traditional tastes, hrm? Oh, yes..."
With another quick spin, the Master Rito swung his staff in the air before pointing it to his apprentice. Rukaal's image burst into a cloud of several dozen songbirds, which chaotically and loudly flew about the chamber for several moments before finding the main exit. "Kid couldn't make it. Long story. I'm the Champion now. Strigidae Frostnest Breezefather. Call me Master. Or Striggy." He looked towards the young ladies of the group and offered shameless grin. "Any of you can call me whenever you want."

Now, as the chamber emptied itself from guests and nobles alike, those who were left were the champions, the royal family, and its guard. The king let out a short sigh of relief as he descended to meet them.
Yet, before he did so he stopped to exchange a few words with one of the royal stewards. "Next time, I would appreciate being forewarned of how public these audiences will be...", he spoke lowly before continuing down the stairs.
--------
Quinn's eyes locked on Strigidae as he began to present himself to the others. She furrowed her brows and cracked her knuckles, but before she went any further what little restraint she had left tonight reminded her it'd look really poorly for her lands if she started a fight on a meeting like this.
So instead, she stared down the old rito for a moment. "Yes...I can barely wait for a chance to train together, see what we all can do..."
--------
Elphias gave Link a firm nod as the Hylian champion presented herself. "You may rise. Now that the ceremony is over for the day, you may speak freely." Then, as Strigidae addressed him, Elphias remained silent for a moment before clearing his throat. "I...see, Master Breezefeather. It is unfortunate that your intended champion could not make it here, but I welcome you amongst the candidates all the same. I'm certain you can champion your kin well."

Now that the whole ceremonial nonsense was over it was time for work. As the King got up and walked towards the Champions Shiek took to his side, silent, deadly and prepared. She didn't speak as she stood next to her father. If the King wanted to introduce her, he would, otherwise she'd just be there ready to leap to his defense should the need arise.
She examined the Champions and although some of them seemed quite unremarkable, Shiek knew that in the calmest waters lurk the most dangerous fish, and thus she suspected all of them possessed extraordinary abilities, which was probably why they were Champions in the first place.
She was going to join these people on their adventure, most likely alongside her sister, so she might just as well learn their names and who they are as soon as possible. She looked each one of them in the eye and gave the smallest of nod, enough that it would be considered a respectful greeting, but not so much that it'd seem she trusted them.

Zelda hadn't spoken during the ceremony, she sat in the smaller throne next to her father's and watched with as much royal serenity she could muster. But part of her didn't want to be here at all, she knew that it was her duty. On the outside, the princess played the part to perfection. She watched as most of the gathered visitors departed the chamber, giving her share of polite nods and smiles to the member of the nobility who had been there to visit.
Once the champions, guards and her father were the only people remaining in the room, the princess closed her eyes and took a deep breath. After gathering herself she opened her eyes again before standing up from her seat and walking down the stairs after her father and disguised sister.
"It is good to see you again Master Breezefeather." Said the princess with a small (but honest) smile to the elderly Rito. Her eyes briefly rested on each other champions, staying a moment longer on Link and Quinn, as the situation dictated she made a graceful curtsy. "and a pleasure to meet you all, champions."

Link shifted in place, holding the sheathed sword close to her chest and turning to face Rosa when she suddenly approached. The knight was still coming to terms with just what sort of relationship she had with the blade, but she wouldn't dare allow dishonor upon the Master Sword. Even with it's sacred history set aside, she couldn't disregard the history that her linage shared with the sword. Still, she gave the woman a friendly smirk. "Hah, well aren't we all new to this?"
"That would be most certain."
The stern voice of the Sheikah Champion had joined their conversation so unexpectedly, the Hylian Knight couldn't help but jump a little before turning back to face zim.
Bongol gazed upon the two younger champions. "We Sheikah are but shadows of those in the light of Hylia. We should ever but serve Her Grace to the fullest of our capabilities, and may we be seen as blasphemous should the day come where we ever fail to do so." Zil stepped forward closer to them, then addressing Rosa. "That you would step up in our comrade's absence truly is admirable. Be that as it may—"
Before zil could utter another word, the trio's discussion was interrupted by the antics of the elderly Master Rito. Both champions looked back to watch the old man crow about gleefully. A slight grimace crossed Link's face, but she couldn't help but step back in surprise and shock when the even younger champion burst apart before them, the illusion released. She clasped her hands together awkwardly, muttering something. Bongol, on the other hand, stared across at the newly revealed champion with a look of disdain and gently brushed several feathers from zar robe.
Zil gave a short glance toward the Lokomo princess, then supplementing her answer with zar own. "Of course, Master Breezefeather. Being the most senior of us all, you must be the most experienced of us, and I'm sure we can expect to learn much of combat and respect from such an esteemed elder as yourself." Zil followed the rito's movements as he passed zim and the other champions. The Sheikah so desired to scowl at the old man, but standing before the king, zil held a modicum of professionalism. It was the least zil could do for now.
Stifling a sigh, the champion let zar gaze drift. There was Her Grace, who stood near His Majesty, and then also... Bongol rested zar eyes on the bodyguard that stood near the two. Some Sheikah that zil did not recognize. Alas, a side effect of having remained near Azun Cella for so long. It had been decades since zil had last been to Kakariko, and there were sure to be many new, younger agents out in the field these days. Zil returned the agent a respectful nod before diverting zar attention back to Her Grace.
Link's attention had strayed similarly. She of course gave the king the proper respect when he joined them at the base of the chamber, but to have been approached by Her Highness as well– Well, she was difficult to ignore. It was said that she took after the grace of the sacred goddess, but even so, the princess was a beauty to behold on her own. When looked at, the hylian woman tore her eyes away, scratching the back of her head, but at the same time tried to do a clumsy curtsy bow, struggling to keep a grip on the Master Sword as she fumbled with the hem of her tunic. "An honor to see you again, Princess."
Once Elphias had joined them, Bongol tilted there head forward slightly. "As well as the ceremony went, Your Majesty, I cannot deny feeling somewhat deflated. Most of us are gathered here, and that is well and good, but–" the Sheikah paused, looking back across toward where the zora and goron ambassadors had stood. "But even so, the absence of two– no three –of our numbers mars my optimism. I was under the impression that at least the Goron and Gerudo Champions would also be joining us today, yet even they are absent."

In the presence of two Sheikah, Rosa couldn't help but conjure thoughts of Nozomi's killer. It was so frustrating that many of their people covered their faces to remain anonymous, as it made hunting the murderer so difficult. Still, these two hadn't given off the same oppression of the escaped target. The bodyguard was an odd figure, surely, but there was a certain grace to their movements that was almost musical in form. The other, Bongol, could easily be called odd as well. Zil had a peculiar way of balancing suspicion and decorum in equal measure, just as Rosa was forced to do. But zil did not have to mold zar face to reflect which it was at any given moment. The Gerudo priestess had to master this power, though it was helped by her newfound talents. The Minister stood quietly as the others spoke, nodding along in confirmation of the others' replies to her earlier comments.
"Ahhh, princess!" Striggy strode forward low to the ground, rising up from Zelda's feet with a wide smile. "Such a pleasure! You look more like your mother every day; it's a blessing to all gifted by your audience! You know how to raise 'em right, Your Majesty!" Master Strigidae reached out and cradled the princess's hand in his feathered palm, raising it to his beak to offer a small peck of a kiss. His stubby mouth was cold and hard where others had soft lips, but the gesture was entirely harmless and respectful. The Rito elder offered another smile then turned to the others, observing the Champions with keen eyes. His plummage ruffled as his chest puffed, he rose his cane into the air, and opened his mouth to speak to the group. However, a loud commotion just outside the large chamber interrupted the process.
The doors of the Seat swung open and three Royal Guards stepped in. Two split at the entrance and took position at either side of the doorway, and the other marched forward at a brisk pace. "Your Highness!" the guard called out breathlessly, striding quickly to the throne. Rosa and Striggy stepped aside to let him through, and the guard was kneeling before the king just moments after entering the room. "Apologies for the interruption," he spoke, his head bowed in reverence. "Emergency news from the north. It's the Goron. They're received a messenger, and their ambassador, he-"
The guards by the door could be heard arguing with others bearing booming voices. Soon the interlopers were too much to hold back, and behind the first guard came a cadre of Goron officials with the bearings of diplomats. The oldest of the lot stepped forward, his dress and posture dignifying him as the head of the group. "I am the Goron Ambassador to the Royal Family, Gogrit," the Goron announced, though he continued before receiving any replying introductions. "I was just here earlier at the introductions of your Champions, and I am remiss to say my return is not with better news. There has been dire events upon the Face of Death Mountain that force me to intervene on this more sacred of meetings. Everest, our Champion that was meant to arrive here a day past... well, it is believed that he is now dead."

Elphias listened solemnly to the words of his candidates, despite having dispensed with formalities. He carried on his shoulders the pride of his kingdom and kin. Such a group coming from all corners of the realm certainly had pointed differences between themselves, and small conflicts among them had not escaped the monarch's notice. But such was the cost of unity, dissonant voices were bound to clash. Together, however, their cacophony found a similar note. A desire to protect what is good within the realm. He knew then that he must capitalize on this, and build upon it a foundation between these people that would endure thousands of years. Bongol's sincerity was anything but undesired. Elphias often found too many sycophants in his midst, and there was relief in knowing the sheikah champion would always pledge to tell him all that was wrong in the kingdom, by their perception. "I understand your hesitance. Temper it with faith. It will not be on days of celebration and comfort that the bond between us all will be tested. Only when hardships befall us, that we do know the truth behind words spoken in better times."Then, as the elder rito addressed him, he nodded firmly. "Indeed. Zelda has grown into a fine heir to the legacy of this kingdom. Nayru be blessed for the wisdom she has bestowed upon my daughter."
As the private meeting was interrupted with another commotion, the king listened to the plight of the goron. It scarcely took the king a moment before he replied, backing his prior words with action. "Ambassador Gogrit. Though tragedy befalls you, and I feel within me the grief of your kin in this dark hour, do not fear what tomorrow will bring." He gestured towards his champion candidates. "Hyrule stands united. I speak for all our peoples when I say we will not turn our backs on the goron in your time of need. We have assembled here a fine group of champions. Unity is the pillar upon which this bond was founded, and from it may we never stray."Having addressed the goron, Elphias turned to speak to the others. "Champions. I understand your journeys may have been long to come to this place, but we cannot afford to remain idle when the kingdom needs you. I am hereby sending you to aid those in Death Mountain. Return stability to the region, and fight knowing the kingdom's eyes lie upon you, and what you do from now on. You may use the remainder of the night to prepare. I will make arrangements so that you have transportation in the morrow." With his decree finalized, the king smiled briefly, though maintained composure. "We shall hold the celebrations until the moment you return. Courage guide you, Wisdom protect you and may Power not fail you."

Shiek noticed the other shiekah acknowledging her, and she nodded back to him. Shiek always did her homework, and she knew the man to be Bongol Yiga, although she didn't know much more about him than that, and would have to find out the old fashioned way; observation.
She stood there listening to the Champions when suddenly the doors burst open and all the chaos erupted. A split second after the doors had burst open, Shiek held a number of kunais in her hands, but dispelled them as soon as she realized it was only couriers, not enemies.
Listening to the whole conversation, she was worried. The goron champion.. dead? Gorons were resilient, hardy people, if something could kill THEM, especially their Champion, it was no weakling. Opening her mouth to speak she had to stop herself as she had almost called the king 'Father', and instead she disguised her almost-slip of the tounge as a clearing of her throat. "My liege. I request to join these Champions on this mission. Let me join them and eliminate this threat to the realm alongside them". If someone saw Ziel and Zelda next to each other, dressed the same and with the same hairstyles, they were impossible to tell apart to the untrained eye, unless Ziel opened her mouth. Her voice was deeper and more raspy than Zelda's, and she spoke with confidence. She expected her father to protest, because if Zelda joined the journey as well, both of his daughters (unbeknownst to the Champions, naturally), would be in potential danger. She now took a step forward to introduce herself to the others.
"I am an agent of the Sheikah. My call sign is 'Sheik', and this will suffice for you as well. With permission from His Highness I shall join you and we shall end this threat together".

"It is nice to see you again too Sir Link" Zelda replied, giving Link one of her small, honest smiles. " and the honour is mine if anything."
Sadly, the conversations were cut short by the arrival of the goron ambassador, and the dire message which followed in regards to the disappearance of their champion. It was a most unfortunate circumstance, to say the least, and was not a good sign for things to come. The princess of Hyrule looked to the king, listening as his father talked to the visitor and made assurance of things to be done. But, something about all of this filled Zelda with a sensation of unease. She was not sure why, but something with all this seemed to be too perfect.
"Excuse me" Her voice was heard, taking a few steps closer and finding a position somewhat ahead and to the side of her father. "But, you said you believe the champion is dead. So, you're not sure if he has indeed died?" Her question was slow and deliberate. "I would think it most opportunistic to find out all we can about his supposed death before we make any rushed attempt at finding out what has happened to Sir Everest, I recall him as a very sturdy warrior, unlikely that someone could have taken him down without ample time, effort, or trickery."
She glanced towards her disguised sister when she spoke up to offer her assistance in joining the mission alongside the champions. Part of her wanted to object, say no and tell her that it was a bad idea to both go on this mission. But, for the time being she said nothing to voice her concerns or show if the choices made her upset.
