Name: Ansel Soleil (Prefers Mr. Soleil or Soleil)
Species: Sheikah
Age: 30-ish
Gender: Male
Physical Appearance:
Dressed sharply but albeit a bit less extravagant than Hylian nobility, Ansel seems all but distanced from his sheikah heritage. A tall and slender figure with a stiff, composed posture and mannerisms. His silver hair is medium length, sometimes tied back in a short ponytail.

Background:
Sometimes, life takes unexpected turns. Orphaned at a very young age, Ansel was raised by merchants from the Gerudo desert. Such an upbringing isolated him from his kin. Instead of learning of the arts of shadow and silence he learned of coin and trade. Fortunately, he showed genuine interest in this and dedicated himself to the profession of his parents.
However, he had one thing to remind him of his people. An Eightfold Longblade, presumably wielded by one of his biological parents, although he never had a very definite answer to the question from his adoptive ones. Not devoid of sentimentality, he held on to it as more of a trinket than as an actual weapon, and never really put in time to learn to wield it. Over time it almost became something of a lucky charm, something for him to look at and let his mind wander and figure out his problems.
Living a nomadic life of a traveling trader, Ansel had a chance to see every corner of Hyrule and the lands beyond. He saw a land divided, held together by a firm, authoritarian hand. Though his family saw only the benefits of this golden age, he began to question things. Dissatisfied with merely existing within this society and making it to the next day, he developed a taste for literature, history, philosophy, though one could only go so far in being self-taught whilst traveling the realm selling wares, facing all the adversities of the road.
In his early adult years, he began to feel pulled down, limited by his situation. Ansel then struck a deal with his own parents and bought off part of their trading caravan to start out on his own. With final say on trade deals, he began to take bigger risks at the sight of greater rewards. The following years were rough, filled with rather unstable ups and downs as he gambled his future and success this way. Sometimes he would have the best of comfort and luxury in town, other times he would be sleeping in the back of a trading cart with nothing but the sword and a fistful of rupees.
It was by the grace of an older gentleman that Ansel was taken in and given a place to go to when his business deals didn't end up well. This man taught him of the ways of high society, and in exchange Ansel offered him company and camaraderie. He was given a closer look at the workings of the upper classes, and had access to libraries and tomes that he could have never found simply wandering the roads as a merchant.
Brushing elbows with high society, Ansel found a good amount of insincerity in the court. Backhanded talk, lies, crimes gone unpunished...and he was left with a sour taste in his mouth. However, he saw opportunity in this.
He asked his benefactor for a little faith and investment in him, and after some deals, he established a company. One that would find ways of making luxury items more affordable for the common folk. And as it turned out, having a larger customer market gives you more profits than making high end items for a noble few.
This earned a good amount of hatred from the nobility towards Ansel, for making things that were once exclusive something the 'rabble' could have access to. He took the hatred as a compliment. However, things turned sour for him once he returned to his benefactor's manor to find the old man dead. Though the incident was tried to be brushed off as merely dying of old age, Soleil suspected foul play. A backhanded way to strike back at him by taking away his mentor.
Having had enough of this game of politics and lies, he began to subtly aid the rebellion, finding once again that supporting the mass was better than supporting the privileged few.
Relevance:
Someone with resources and more of an intellectual adversary to others than a straight up threat. He is interested in covertly aiding the rebellion for his own purposes.
Skill Set:
An Enterprising Mind...
Soleil's greatest weapon is his mind, and capacity to be pragmatic in most situations. This is possibly assisted by his Sheikah nature, allowing him to achieve great focus and keep issues and distractions from making him stray away from his path. Even when his emotions try to get the best of him, he can take a deep breath and think things through rationally.
...And The Means To Go With It.
Ansel is well off. Having invested his money wisely and received an inheritance from his noble benefactor, he can live comfortably and use this wealth to fund many things, such as informants, hiring mercenaries to protect him and all else that money can possibly buy.
Well Traveled
Having years of experience in travel, Soleil knows someone here and another person there. A good merchant keeps valuable contacts in touch, and over the years they form quite the web. So within reason, he can manage to get his hands on most resources and items that aren't too rare or too dangerous to transport around.
