Name: Aeshra Lilith Valadaar
Titles: Countess Valadaar, Lady Valadaar, The Fel Architect
Species: Demon
Age: Immortal.
Aeshra in her true most powerful form is an immortal demon. She can die from damage and wounds like anyone else, but not of old age as she has already lived for a VERY long time.
Gender: Female
Physical Appearance:
In her true form, Aeshra has grown in height. She is now considerably more bulkier than before. She stands about 2.00 meters tall now (6'6), and her physical appearance has been greatly altered.
She has big, clawed hands, big enough to almost fit her entire hand over a human's head, and the horns she previously had have become even larger now, looking more hellish and less like ram horns. Her eyes, who were previously very resemblent to those of humans, are now a burning, hellish yellow-orange without pupils. She has longer, thicker hair now which is jet black instead of the brown she had before. She has also gotten herself a long, reddish tail. There is also a slight echo to her voice when talking, giving her voice an intimidating touch.
She wears a red-and-gold, high-collared coat with fur at the end of the sleeves and underneath it a brown leather armor, leather pants and boots. She holds the robe together with a golden fauld and belt, where she also keeps two daggers, her backup weapons if something goes awry. The fauld offers some protection around her waist area, without limiting mobility too much.
The overall appearance she gives off is terrifying to mere humans, as they can easily mistake her for a monster, and it's not uncommon that civilians take cover when she arrives in a city, and she has HUGE problem walking through Hyrule Castle Town.
Background:
*This is the true story of Aeshra Valadaar*
Long, LONG ago there was a warlock known as Aeshra Valadaar. At early age she showed a fondness for Fel magic and become a powerful wielder of just that. She also learned martial combat from her parents, who were servants of whatever Demon King happened to be in charge at the time. As skilled as she was in combat, she preferred to use her powers to aid her people, and so she did. Being known as the "Fel Architect", Aeshra had the ability to warp, twist and create buildings using her magic, allowing her and her disciples to create villages and outposts with great speed.
Another demon was very jealous of Aeshra's success and popularity, a blood-mage called Lestra. She befriended the Fel Architect and the two became rather close. It was all a plot from Lestra's part, of course, and one night when they were drinking and sharing stories between friends, Lestra poisoned the Warlock. Draining Aeshra's powers to fuel her own, she reduced Aeshra to a shell of her former self, and bound her soul into the body of her favorite human slave. For years Aeshra served the blood speaker as her personal handmaiden and favorite slave, but slowly she began to break out of the control the witch held over her. Utilizing her combat abilities, Lestra offered Aeshra up to fight alongside various demon kings, amongst them Thorodan, and she became a prominent figure in invading Hyrule and other worlds, fighting in the name of the Demon King.
After the Hylian army defeated the Ministry, and Thorodan attacked with his demon army in tow, Aeshra, now more or less entirely free of Lestra's control, took her chance to escape, killed some of her fellow warriors and fled into the woods. There she encountered a group of people called 'the Crusaders'. Joining forces with them, she set out to find Lestra and take revenge on the one who destroyed her former life and enslaved her for years. Eventually, Aeshra got to meet up with Zelda, the leader of the Hylians, and swore fealty to her until Lestra was defeated, and it wasn't until the Bloodspeaker attacked the Sanctuary the Hylians had created to hide from Thorodan, that they fought Lestra to a victory, where they managed to finally finish her off permanently.
At this point, Aeshra grabbed her former friend and not only took her powers back, but also took Lestra's potency, draining her dry and leaving little but a shriveled shell behind. Now more powerful than ever, and her true self restored, Aeshra could easily have siezed control of Lestra's cult and continued the fight. However, she was not that kind of person, as a matter of fact, she was sick of all the fighting and war. She instead turned to the hylian Queen, kneeling before her, she asked for a plot of land where she could erect a village for the demons that could now be free from Lestra's control (or those who didn't want to fight for Thorodan), a place that would work with Hyrule, a place where demons, Zoras, Gorons and ANY race could live together in peace.
She was granted this, and created Felbrook village, of which she then claimed leadership and the title of "Lady". Some started to call her 'Queen Aeshra' or 'The Demon Queen', meaning she should be a queen, not a mere 'lady', but she quickly refuted such claims, having no ambition for such titles. She DID, however, take the title of "Countess", as she liked the ring to it, and to this day goes by that, or "Lady Valadaar".
Lately, her beloved Felbrook has succumbed to what people whisper is a curse. The Demonic inhabitants of the village (including Aeshra herself) have started suffering episodes of blind, uncontrollable rage, where they go berserk on their surroundings and harm any non-demon in their viscinity. She has put her greatest researchers on finding out the cause of this so called curse, and has started suspecting it has something to do with the growing darkness that she has sensed in her dreams. Growing desperate, Aeshra is resorting to more and more desperate measures to find help, and has decided to ask her allies in Hyrule for their assistance.
Relevance: With the ongoings of Felbrook being connected to the Calamity, and Aeshra being a part of Hyrule even if she's not 'officially' part of it, she still gets invited to meetings of the leaders and nobles of Hyrule. Thus her relevance is rather high and she has a significant connection to the beast that is Calamity Ganon as well as the overarching story.
Skill Set:
Gifts of the Dark Realm
Aeshra is a warlock, and thus has such powers. Below are a few, but not all of her warlock spells:
Fel Assault: Aeshra gathers her demonic energy into a ball, an orb, or a similar shape, and launches it a foe, causing it to explode on contact. Alternatively, she can cast this spell as a short-range beam, with its power more focused, but hits a smaller area.
Fel Step: Aeshra vanishes in a puff of greenish hellfire, appearing a bit further away, this is basically a short-distance teleport and cannot teleport her through walls or objects.
Felfire: Aeshra blankets an area with felfire, a greenish rain of fire that burns hotter than normal fire.
Fel infusion: Using her power of controlling and manipulating Fel energies, Aeshra can infuse herself with fel energy, allowing her to make her teeth and claws grow in size, and spikes to protude from her tail, all of them razor sharp and as durable as any weapon, allowing her to bite, claw and whack her foes with her tail, her fangs or her claws.
-Fel Wings: As a remnant of the powers she drained from Lestra, who could summon dragon wings, Aeshra can summon a pair of green and black demonic wings, allowing her to fly for a limited time. It lasts for 5 posts when activated, and then needs 5 posts before it can be used again.
Fel Shaping: Aeshra can twist and bend her magic to make illusory images and then solidify them to such a degree that she can materialize shapes out of thin air. This allows her to create buildings and similar objects, by bending, channeling and shaping her magic. The longer she channels, the bigger the shape she can create. This is how she built Felbrook village, all by herself, piece by piece, fusing shapes and forms together by warping them into existence using this ability.
This spell is a ritual, which means she has to stand in place, concentrating. As such, if this is used in combat it leaves her completely vulnerable to damage and if she is interrupted, the process is lost and she has to start over. Because of that, this ability is solely meant for RP-purposes, and has little no, at best situational, function in combat. Smaller items takes less effort, time and strain to create.
Martial Prowess
Aeshra is trained to fight with most melee weapons, including the two daggers in her belt and her halberd-like weapon she has named 'Vengeance's Fury'. She has very little training in ranged weaponry, however, preferring her spells to compensate for that.
Weakness:
Social Stigma: Even though her village lies in Hyrule and she interacts with Hylians every now and then, her clearly demonic appearance makes it hard for her to interact with the common folk, since they tend to be terrified of her, sound the alarm or even send the guards at her until she can explain the situation. This means people have a tendency not to trust her and not help her, and parents hide their children when she comes into town.
While perhaps not a real weakness in itself, Aeshra's new, bulkier frame makes her slower than before, and as such faster foes tend to get the upper hand against her, even though she can fight at all distances.
