Background
Long ago, during the formation of the Dark Realm, a primal creature was formed by the claw of darkness. With its creation– its eldritch existence built into the fabric of the world's reality –came its permanently established role by its creator as a guardian of the world's stability and the walls which held it separate from those beyond its own. It would be the shield of the world, Caput.
In order to fulfill such tasks within the realm of reality, the Demoness claimed mortality by taking on physical form in the appearance of those which would come to be known as Difesa Demons and through these avatars of its being, it would fulfill its task of serving as the guardian of the realm whilst establishing dominion over those lawless creatures of the realm, which served no ruler. It was through this that the Difesa became known as a Demon tribe of summoners and the link between law and chaos.
Ever since, the existence of the Primal Demon Regent has served those who command the Demons as well as to the benefit of the Dark Realm itself.
Now, at the beck of the ruler of Demons, the Primal Demon has quietly, carefully begun to spread its influence beyond into the world of light.
Relevance
Caput's presence in the Light World will be intricately tied to the chapter's story in that velare goals will be tied to the history of the land, events from prior chapters, and the veil of malice which approaches the land of light.
Skill Set
Caput is a being of a mysterious nature beyond common physical understanding. The consciousness of its being is interwoven into the fabric of the realm of which it is part as well as the Difesa Demon Tribe, which to varying degrees serves the creature as hosts and avatars. There is no clean cut way to detail the understanding of the relationship between the Difesa and the Regent, though it can be said that they each hold a level of individuality and free will, though on some level or another, their capacity for existing simultaneously serves as pieces of Caput's being. Its being seems to be a mixture between that of a man o' war and that of individual creatures, forming a consciousness web through which it can act.
In gameplay, this will manifest on a very limited scope. While it may permit the existence of multiple active and Caput-conscious avatars simultaneously, this cannot and is not meant to be used in battle so as to zerg velare opponents into submission based on pure numbers alone. Instead, Caput's methods are heavily tied to intense multitasking so as to fulfill the scope of velare work, such as when it requires velem to be in multiple places throughout the world at once. When used actively, it will be tied to storytelling to storytelling purposes, such as basic interaction between characters, and not to be used whimsically.
Beyond the peculiar nature of velare existence, even the bodies that Caput's consciousness actively inhabits seem to share a level of eldritchness in their appearance on their own as well. Those bodies which serve as Caput's share the trait of being able to shift in appearance. This can range from the more expected transformations– such as appearing more human –to the far more unexpected and nightmarish, allowing velem to grow extra limbs, eyes, change the size of velare appearance, and even take on a more bestial nature (as seen below).
For as far as Caput's own powers goes beyond the nature of velare existence, the Primal Regent additionally wields control over powerful magics. As a Difesa Demon, veley particularly specializes as a summoner and is able to call forth Demonic monstrosities through velare connection to the Dark Realm, though veley has access to arcanic powers as well, granting velem the power to teleport and create portals, telepathics and kinetics, conjure energy as a method of combat, and an array of other magic powers which, though flexible and powerful in nature, are limited in purpose and use by and to story and plot events.
