Coliseum Village is a village located on the far southwestern end of Hyrule Kingdom, built into the towering cliffs of the legendary Sacred Plateau. Most notable of all its structures is the coliseum in the south end of the village, which is surrounded on all sides by a large series of barracks, housing one of the larger military communities in the kingdom.
The buildings surrounding either end of Aquame Bridge act as the settlement's primary shopping center, ranging from produce, clothing, and bars. Further north, at the far end of the village, beyond the shopping center, is where the village's inn and civilian housing is located.

A gentle humming filled the room as Maewin stared down at the map they'd brought with them, needlessly working away a navigational divider over. Both tools were hardly necessary additions to his repertoire but he was restless and it let him fidget away as he thought. They had a whole town between them and this Duchess he was targeting. A nice large section of military. Barrack after barrack of Hylian soldier. His favorite plan of attack, as always, was to bust through, guns blazing and sword flared, but for once that was the way to start the mission.
The mercenary fiddled with the divider, placing its top end down on the center of the coliseum's center. Biting his tongue, he gently dragged its end along the parchment. It wasn't a fancy map, but with what little the rebellion had to work with, it would certainly do better to not rip it to shreds. Besides, he could wait and save shredding things till later. For now.
He put the tool down on the table, looking over to the bird on top of the room's armoire. "So only one way into the Coliseum and one way out, huh Havvy? No secret entrances, no nothing? It's gonna be real tough dragging my boys in there like that," he said. Not that he couldn't find some nice, pleasant, forceful ways to introduce them to the coliseum. But that would be a bit rough, and they weren't supposed to start that way. They were supposed to start the boring way.

It was hard to tell what the raven was feeling, or what he was thinking. It tilted its head slightly to the side when Maewin turned to speak to it, letting the dark eyes drift to the map and back to Maewin again. Casually the animal dropped down from the furniture, circled around the room once before landing on top of the map with a few soft clicking sounds. "I do not agree at all, there are many ways to get inside." "Havran" said, slowly walking across the map as he was talking. "It is a coliseum, people go in and out all the time, otherwise they would get no-shows. I highly doubt that the contesters and those watching use the same entrance." He paused looking down at the map, scratching away a few specks of dust from it with his talons. "But, that is not what you meant, is it? Your way is to take part in the contest?" He looked to the other rebel, tilting his head slightly to the left. "Am I right?"

"Yes, yes, that's just how it is," he replied distractedly and started mumbling away to himself, tracing his fingers around Havran on the map again. Maybe the bird had something useful to say, maybe not, who knows. He certainly wasn't giving his full attention. This was all boring technical stuff he didn't care about. He just wanted to get on with this mission. But, but, but... Ah, contest? A matter-of-fact expression returned to his face and he gave a proud smile. "Oh yes, that's correct. We're here to play the hero. We have some people to save today.
"The issue is, I'm almost certain they won't let my nice head blasters past the entrance. You know how picky they are about these things, they like excitement sure, but it's gotta be that plain fair fight." His brows furrowed and he let out a bit of a snort. "So boring. And an issue. We can't go waltzing up to our gracious Duchess here to greet her without them! Well, we could but it would be so much harder." His voice read more like 'less fun' than 'less easy.' He drummed his fingers scrutinizing the scene. "Say, what was the info ya got on the champions in today's matches? Maybe we can just even the circumstances or something." He shrugged.

Havran sauntered across the map, making his way to the edge of the table. "Wrong, you're here to play the hero. Not me" The bird replied, stretching his wings as he spoke. "Besides, you really do not see what they are doing here?" He ruffled up his feathers, before leaping off the table, doing an arc through the air before landing on the floor, but before he landed there were a small poof and the raven transformed into the shape of a young humanoid male with dark hair and red eyes. Havran brushed some dust and feathers away from his sleeve before he turned to look at Maewin. "Of course they do not want fights where people actually end up dead, that would ruin the whole point of why the King let them have this place at all. Or that is what I heard..." He took a bottle from one of the shelves and examined it, slowly he pulled out the cork and smelled inside. "They want to keep the army and the people strong because a strong people is more useless than a weak one. If we tried to assault this place, we could be crushed before we reached the Duke and Duchess."
The teen took a swig from the bottle, looking at with a frown. "Strong? At least one was very wounded, but they patched him up and he should be back into the swing of things in a few days, or that is what I heard one of the healers say." He replied to the question. "and all those creepy... things... mama always said to me, never eat food that sings."

"I knooow, but at least when I get captured while using them, they'd be taking my effects with me. Now they'll just keep them stored at the coliseum." He grumbled an annoyance over the Hylians. Tossing the divider down on the table, he pushed his chair out and leaned back in his seat, setting his feet on the table. "Well, in any case, sounds like someone isn't ready for today's matches. They're going to need volunteers..."
Maewin's voice trailed off as he looked back watching Havran. "Well, I am going to be Mama's biggest disappointment. I am so irresponsible, not even stopping you from drinking away at my travel collection. But anyways," he said, almost sounding sorry until he continued. "If they sing at least I can hear them scream. And then I know I'm getting something out of them."
He continued staring for a moment before getting up. "Pass me a bottle, no use stopping now," he said with a smile. It sounded like he'd thought of a plan.

Havran frowned ever so slightly at the initial comments about losing his things. "Well, why don't you let me carry your things for you?" He asked, taking another sip from the bottle, letting his words sink in before he continued to talk. "If I carry them and turn into a raven, well they will be transformed with me and no one would know I had them... just a thought." He sighed deeply. "and they always need people to fight, and never lack people willing to do it. I suppose it is one way to keep your warriors trained and ready for battle."
The teenager raised one of his eyebrows, looking to the bottle and over to Maewin, before shrugging and taking another sip. "Yeah, letting a teenager drink away at your collection, that really is the pinnacle of irresponsibility, however, will you top that?" Havran grinned. "You intend to question a piece of cheese? Torture the rug? Those really were sentences I would never have pictured myself saying." He looked at the remaining bottles, before taking one from the shelf and putting it down on the table.

He took up one of the bottles from the table and shook it around loosely. "Oh, I'm sure I can think of a few ways, it just takes a bit of imagination. Just promise, no sharing any disappointments with my Mas." He raised the bottle up and held the cork of the drink between his teeth, ready to rip it out. Then he paused as Havran continued to speak. Maewin's brows rose and after a moment he put the bottle back down on the table. "See this exactly what I mean. Just takes little imagination and we've got some good irresponsibility going. I like the way you think."
The mercenary started unbuckling his gun straps. "See, the idea I had going was stuff my guns into the bottles and they can't take away the bottles! Nah, they've got no reason to take away some guy's bottles. I mean bottles of your parents' ashes... Perfect for tossing in your opponents' eyes. Also great for smashing on them. But you- I like your thinking, Havran." He unbuckled one holster, two holster, three holsters and set them on the table, each still holding the firearms within. "These babies won't be too heavy for you, will they?" ...Nah, surely not.
He walked over to his bed, lifting up Ravage's Delight in both hands. "Alright, alright. I think we're getting somewhere. Well, you have any business left to attend to? I think I'm ready to sign up for this thing!"

Havran had found himself a seat at the table, and made himself comfortable, followed by another sip from the bottle in his hand. The teenager grinned as Maewin talked, and followed his motions with his red eyes as he placed the bottle on the table again. "Thank you, I like the way I think too, it is very comfortable. The problem with people is that they try to plan too much ahead, no one seems to enjoy the noble art of improvising."
The spy listened as the companion continued to talk about his plan, and the following changes that had been added due to Havran's own idea. "Nothing says respecting your bloodline like killing a man with old nana's ashes?" There was a clear hint of amusement in his voice when he said this. "Pity I do not have a spare relative lying around making smells like a dead fish." He sighed and examined the three holstered weapons on the table. Havran reached out and pulled one of them over to get a closer look, there was a moment of silence. "Should not be a problem chief, they will transform along with me, so the weight does not really matter that much when all is said and done. I'll treat them as if they were my own babies, and that is another sentence I never imagined myself use."
"Well, no..." There was a pause as the young sheikah seemed to ponder the last question. "Your the one going out there to get yourself mangled, I just need to find a nice comfortable spot to watch the show and keep an eye on you. In case I have to go tell the boss that your no longer with us. Oh, if you die out there, I will keep your weapons."

"And that's their trashy little problem," Maewin said, shaking his head and giving the blade a small shake. "They make all these little plans for their life and then oh, one of us comes along without a single idea in mind just we might to do to their lives and oh dear the rest of their week is just... ruined! They really should try planning less often... It does wonders for the soul when you don't expect something and can still work with it."
He unsheathed the sword, holding it up in the candle light for a moment. "Sure is a pity I don't got my old man's ashes around either. I'm sure he would've loved his legacy living on just like that. But eh, moms are moms! I'll work with what I've got." He returned the blade to its scabbard and secured it at his waist.
"Not to worry about that. If I die, I die, that's just how it be in this mean lady of a realm. The least you could do for me is make sure those things do more after I'm gone. Now, I hope you're ready for a show."
