Yilom chuckled. "We shall see, I suppose. This occassion comes closer by the minute, after all." Her eyes were also arrested by the uniform on the woman passing by. She barely even saw those among what few nobles she had seen here. Perhaps she was a foreigner as well.
She shook her head at Bongol. "I'm afraid I don't drink. But I would be happy to rest and speak at one of these houses. It will be fine practice for tomorrow," she said with a bit of a laugh.

Quinn kept walking through the streets until she finally found a tavern. It was a bit more...refined than she would have liked but it'd have to do. She sat down by one of the tables and ordered whatever they had that was strong.

Zil laughed with her. "That's fair enough. I'm sure we could both use it," zil said and began to lead the way. Bongol took a path roughly trailing behind the other foreigner's, but obfuscated their movements well enough by instead focusing the majority of zar attention on Yilom and keeping up the casual conversation.
It wasn't too hard fortunately, as there was much about their different cultures they could talk about, even with Bongol avoiding confidential topics. It was enough to keep them engrossed and for them to fall behind, but even then it wasn't too hard to keep on the trail of the woman. What few people there were that had stayed out this late seemed to have made a path and kept out of her way.
When they rounded the corner to the next street where the tavern was, zil broke off from the conversation. "Ah, there it is. I knew I had seen one somewhere around here." It looked to be a bit upper scale, but that was no worry. Like Yilom had said, good practice. Zil held the door for her and once inside ordered an ale and sought a table for them. If zil was going to drink in Central Hyrule, might as well blend in and drink like one of them. The place had a menu for foods as well, but Bongol wasn't particularly interested.

Yilom had little trouble with keeping the conversation up on her end. She didn't reveal anything she considered hidden information, but she was more than happy to talk about the growing relations in Lanayru, and her work in the East Reservoir Lake. The work was nearly a decade past, but such time meant little to her.
"Then I see little reason to delay," Yilom said, following Bongol into the little tavern. She only asked for water. Ale and its ilk never agreed with her, and she wasn't particularly hungry.

Quinn started to drink, relaxing just a bit as she finally had some peace of mind. She looked around and noticed Bongol and Yilom entering, but said nothing. They stood out a bit from the crowd, but as long as they didn't spell trouble for her, she didn't seem to pay too much attention to them.

Zil didn't pay much mind to Quinn's glance; it didn't seem she was the only one to give the two of them a look when they had taken their seats. Of the visitors seen in town, Gorons tended to be more common than either Zora or Sheikah, and as before, the two of them had garnered some attention all over again. It seemed that Quinn had earned some herself, but it didn't look like any of the tavern patrons wanted to give her any trouble and so avoided her gaze.
Once they had their drinks, Bongol resumed their conversation. "So, tell me, what is Zorana actually like these days? I've heard things about it and I know about the dam, but I haven't been around in a long while." Far away certainly was a good a way to put it. Azun Cella was all the way beyond the Mount Necluda and Mount Lanayru, in a place far from the kingdom. If it weren't for their messengers, they could have been cut off from much of the world.

Though it was impossible for her not to attract attention, Yilom did her best to ignore it. Though she did like talking to people, she did have a job to do, and even this little distraction was part of it. For many city dwellers, she was the first impression on the Zora kingdom as a whole, and she wanted to make sure it was a good one.
"We have been reconstructing the Zora's Domain for the past... oh, fifteen years or so. I think we've created something that matches even the oldest tales. As for the dam, it's been successful in what I hoped it would do - the yearly floods in the Marshlands have ceased, and it's allowed for more permanent infrastructure in the area. It's my hope that eventually all the peoples of Lanayru can enjoy a time of peace."

Quinn was somewhat used to the attention. She wasn't exactly keen on subtlety. Took her a bit of guile to even be able to evade her own escort, and she didn't quite like having to do that. She listened to the idle chatter in the tavern, sometimes picking up on what Yilom and Bongol were speaking, but she seemed to be mostly using her leisure time to get an idea of what things were like in Hyrule.

"Good, that's good to hear. Maybe then, with the dam in place, you'll be able to even surpass the kingdom of old," zil said, smiling and tapping on the table. What the Sheikah had known was that ever since the relocation of the Zora since the years past, there had been much trouble keeping their land solid and settled in place with the floods. The relief the dam gave was sure to allow them to to finally rebuild after these many, many years.
Bongol leaned forward slightly. "Ah, that reminds me, I heard that you've also managed to attain a peace of sorts with the monsters– Lizalfos tribes, if I recall correctly –located in mid-Lanayru. It might be discussion worth saving for later, but I can't help but be curious how you managed... They've never been too receptive toward our prior efforts."
As the two of them continued to talk, the entrance to the tavern gave way to a small pack of soldiers. Just like that, the inside of the bar grew that much noisier. Bongol gave them a short glance. It was not hard to listen in on them. "Ay there, man, two drinks each for the whole lot of us, yeah?" "Two? Make it three, sir." The rattling of a rupee wallet on the counter. "I'll get us the table and– hon, you wanna get us those hams and some bread? See if we can get it spiced up and shi- Yeah, thanks. I'll have the cap adjust our pays so we're all good, yeah?"
The Sheikah gave a shake of the head and returned zar attention to Yilom. At the very least, the soldiers seemed to have the common sense to keep quiet just enough they could still hear themselves thinking.
Back at the counter, the rupees continued to jingle as they were shifted around between the remaining soldiers and the bartender. "Breads, hams, and... one, two, three........"
"Just the six of us tonight, Bart. I'd recommend taking off a couple drinks for me... Gotta keep that good image. And go ahead and take a couple off Delia and Nardin as well, you know how they get."
"Right then, so twelve mugs. I'll stagger em." Gems passed over the counter and the barman reached out and briefly paused, glancing up. "Well, well, that you Link? Been a good year or so now. Thought they'd permanently stationed you up there! You're looking mighty different these days, girl."
"A lot can happen in three years, Bart! And I guess I'm pretty lucky my Gram's got such incredible skills." The knight reached over the counter to slap the other woman's shoulder. "It's good to see you. Came back down here with the others on guard duty. Just the typical stuff, they wanted us to escort Captain Baelfist back to Castle Town."
"Oh, the big boss, the Knight Captain themself?"
"Yep, this was just my lucky week, don'cha y'know?" There was laughter between the two of them as the exchange continued.

"Yes, a tenuous agreement it may be. In the past, the Lizalfos has tended to take what they need by force. It's our hope that establishing a market and trade center in Lanayru, that banditry will cease. It is slow work, though, to be sure." The efforts in forming the peace treaty between the different peoples that resided in Lanayru was perhaps less flashy than the construction of the dam, but Yilom was perhaps even more proud of her work there. The Lizalfos hadn't ever been open to dialogue at all, much less trade, but hopefully things would change. After all, communication between different societies only drove both forward.
She paid little mind to the group of soldiers that came in - they weren't too loud, and they weren't causing a disturbance. There was little need to eavesdrop on their conversation.
