If you want to make a character, this is the place to do it. Here, character applications will be reviewed by your peers, fellow rp members like yourself. They may request changes, provide suggestions for ways to improve upon what they see, or provide other sorts of feedback, and once they feel the character sheet sufficiently fulfills the required fields in the application template, they may provide their approval. Once your character has received approval from two other members, the staff will then move your character sheet into the Approved Characters section.
Please keep in mind that, someone who has provided approval to a character before its final approval may at any time retract their approval if they so wish should they have grown dissatisfied or wish to provide extended feedback.
Additionally, even if your character receives approval, should three or more other members find issue with your character, then approval may be temporarily rescinded until the issues those members have with your character are resolved. This does not mean that your character will be scrapped by the staff, but that it has been agreed that enough other members believe that your character requires further adjusting before being ready for role-play.
Once your character is approved, please be sure to list them in your signature. There are only 500 characters to work with in your signature, so we will not ask that you link back to the character sheets, we merely ask that you keep your signature up-to-date with all your current active characters at all times for reference purposes.
Please note that you can have a maximum of six characters at a time. Whenever you have reached the character limit and want to work with a new character, you have the option of archiving a character currently in your roster and providing a new application for the character you wish to replace them (or swap out archived characters). However, please give some time before deciding to drop a character in favor of creating a new one.
When applying for a character, the format below needs to be followed in creating the character's sheet. The provided fields are the most important parts and are required in order for your character to receive approval, however and you can absolutely choose to customize how it looks and add more personalized fields if you feel the need to.

Name: What is your character's name?
Species: What species are they? Human (which race)? Hylian? Zora? Maiamai? Part of a monster tribe? Just keep in mind that whatever species you choose, they need to be from the Zelda series.
Age: How old is your character?
Depending on how old they are, you may not need to be too specific. For example, characters that are near immortal or reach into the hundreds of years old, may be simply left as Ageless, Immortal, Ancient, etc.
Gender: What gender is your character? Agender? Nonbinary? Female? Any gender that you decide your character to be.
Physical Appearance: How does your character look? You can provide a picture or describe them how you please. If you provide a picture, you need not describe them, though you may certainly choose to do so. Heavy detail isn't necessary and you can describe them as simply as you want as long as it's clear to others how your character looks.
Background: What's your character's history? Perhaps talk about their place in society? This is the place to flesh out just who your character is.
Relevance: Here, we would like you to provide us with an explanation of your character's relevance to the chapter's story based on what's been presented in the setting, chapter prologue, and what has taken place so far. This can include their motivations, what they have at stake that ties them into the story, what drives them, or even any other characters that have ties to the story that your character is tied to. As long as it provides a reasonable explanation for how they are relevant, in order to ease interaction with the presented storyline and other fellow characters.
Skill Set: What are they good at? Do they have any magical abilities or are really skilled in particular areas? Excellent swordsmanship, archery, whatever you feel like your character would be especially good at could fit here.
Example:
Name: Exim Pel
Species: Rito
Age: 22
Gender: Genderfluid
Physical Appearance: Portrait image (may be inserted instead).
A Rito of grey and white plumage, Exim is often seen traveling the land whilst wearing what seems to be a Hylian Tunic, though adapted for a Rito such as himself. This even includes the common poncho and hat often seen by Hyrulean ranchers. He also wears a bright blue bandanna about his neck, one that hardly matches the rest of his outfit, though he does just seem to claim it is nothing more than another piece of his clothing.
He'll often be carrying around a great long bow and a quiver hidden beneath that poncho of his. Interestingly enough, his bow also seems to be fashioned in the shape of a very uniquely-shaped string instrument and many of his arrows seem structured in such a way to allow him to play upon it.
Background: A once-warrior hailing from Hebra, Exim one day felt a calling bringing him to travel far from his home, into and across the heart of Hyrule. His travels took him across the lands until he came upon the place he believed to be calling to him.
There, he found a small hamlet, a town inhabited by musicians, singers, and songstresses of all sorts. They loved to entertain, always seeking to travel from their town upon growing up to share their stories. In his time there, Exim learned that the hamlet was founded by a bard long ago, one who chronicled the stories of many a hero and learned many a song of great power, said to be prayers that reached the ears of the gods themselves. The town contained a legend that she held close a secret that she brought with her to her death and only when the time came would it be revealed...
Relevance: Exim has learned several of the songs of the gods in his time at the Bard's Hamlet and inherited the Bard's Secret, which will tie into the story of the encroaching darkness.
Skill Set: As is a common form of combat among his kind, Exim was trained in the art of archery. Being a Rito, he is skilled at loosing arrows in mid-flight just as equally as he can from the ground.
He also has a knack for music and is highly skilled at playing upon his peculiar bow. His songs don't really have any particular effect, but his tunes can sure provide a good time.
