The area of the castle reserved for the crown princess. It contains a series of chambers that are used by Princess Zelda, making it more close to an apartment inside the castle. Apart from her bedroom, there is also a study/office, small dining chamber with a balcony, and a studio where her royal highness likes to paint and follow artistic endeavours. It is as luxurious as what is expected from a member of the royal family. In general, the areas are kept tidy by maids, and it is to be expected that it is maintained to look clean. But even so, it is possible to find the occasional bok laying around outside of the office. This from Zelda's personal habit of leaving books where she happened to be reading them at the time. Most evenings a fire is kept alive in the fireplace in the bedchamber. It is never really silent unless Princess Zelda is away.
Zelda was sitting next to one of the large windows towards the balcony, the dark night sky was clear of clouds and the light from the pale moon was shining into the bedroom. The princess had a candle burning on the table beside the armchair. She was dressed in a pale blue nightgown, decorated with embroideries, on top of that she was trapped in a blanket. Her face looked pale in the moonlight and she was reading a book or attempting to read a book in any case. She found it increasingly difficult to concentrate, and she slowly reached out to take the teacup next to the candle and sip from it. She really did not like evenings like these, and she could not say for certain why that was. No, that was a lie, she knew all too well why she could not sleep, it was on evenings like these that her dreams became most vivid. It was like she was there, and that it was real, but maybe that was the case with most dreams? Only, she could never forget that these things were not just dreams.

The pale moonlight lit up most of the room except for a few shadowy corners. It was from one of these that a calm voice spoke. It sounded very similar to that of Zelda's own, only a little more hoarse. "You look troubled, sister", it said. The Shiekah ninja stepped out of the shadows and walked towards her sister. "What ails you, beloved Zelda?". Her tone was, as usual, very matter-of-factly but since it was her sister she was addressing, it had genuine concern in it as well. She had snuck past the guards once again, like she had done a million times both as a child and since she became 'Shiek'. At times, her father simply LET her in, but there was no fun in that, it was more entertaining to sneak past the guards to visit her father or sister.
Seeing her sister looking worried grasped at her heart. It was times like this Ziel realized she had it better. She had neither as much responsibility, nor as much to lose.

Zelda closed her eyes, but she opened them again at the sound of her sister's voice. For whatever reason she was never surprised how the twin would show up at times like these, she could have picked any evening or night to visit her, but she picked this one out of all of them. Then again, she had a pretty good idea of when her sister was worried or upset, it functioned both ways after all. "Do I?" She asked in return, closing her book as she talked. "Well, I had trouble sleeping and so I decided to review some of the texts on Hylian history" Zelda tapped the book on her lap. "Find some kind of clue, something that might... help" She shook her head slowly, before turning her eyes to look at Ziel. "Do you want some tea? It should still be hot enough to drink" She motioned towards the pot at the table.

While Zelda had been talking, Ziel had checked the room to make completely sure they were alone. When she was certain they were, she leaned in and gave her sister a quick (but gentle) hug. "Tea?", she said with a little smirk. "I haven't sat down for tea since I was little, but I will humour you, dear sister". Ziel sat down in the frame of the window, directly opposite to Zelda. One leg up on the windowsill, the other hanging lazily down the side, she pulled down her mask revealing her face that looked almost perfectly identical to her sister, save for the eye color and the length of her hair. Perhaps one would expect Shiek's facial expression to be neutral or 'disciplined', and while Shiek in no way lacked disciplined, at the moment a little smirk played on her lips upon seeing her sister.
She poured herself a cup of tea (she wouldn't let her sister do it, she hated being served and could do it herself), and took a sip. "So tell me then, Zelda, what are you trying to find a clue for, what is it that robs you of your sleep?".

"Are you sure? I was under the impression that the sheikah valued tea, I recall there are many ceremonies involved how to brew different kinds of tea. I could give you the book if you wish to broaden your knowledge if you ever find yourself in the house of an elderly sheikah." Zelda replied, giving the sister one of the teasing smiles that she usually served only to her, if anything, she tended to be less "perfect princess" in the company of her twin, at least when they happened to be alone. As Ziel sat down her sister watched her pour the tea, she did not comment anything about it, she did not object.
Zelda leaned back into the armchair, her eyes rested on Ziel for a moment, before it turned to look at the moon outside the window. She could see it clearly, and it looked like it always did. "Whenever the dreams awake me I rush to the window, and I always expect to find the moon... in the colour of blood. I know it is a sign, that it will happen and that it means something important." There was a pause and she took a sip from her own tea, which had largely gone cold... but she did not show that it bothered her, there were more things to bother about than cold tea. "Its Ganon, that is what I try to find clues about. I keep seeing what will happen when he comes, no, what might happen. I see the dead bodies of you and father, our friends and the subjects. Castle in ruins... But, there is also something else, I see shadows of something large. No, not large, bigger. Is it one future? Or do I see many different paths all in one dream?" Zelda stopped, she sighed. "I am sorry Ziel, I just... well father tries to help, but you know how he is. Why must the gods be so cryptical?"

Ziel rolled her eyes and chuckled at the same time. Typical Zelda, acting all bookish. "Just because I KNOW how to do something doesn't mean I indulge in it, Zelda. I could loan you a book on not being so stuck up all the time", she countered, with an equally teasing smile, showing there was no real harmful intentions to her words, she was just messing with her sister.
"Ganon..", the ninja muttered, the mere mention of that name made her feel nauseous. "What you see, sister dear, are certainly many futures. When you see my dead body, I assure you it is not true.. I am not easily killed, but I cannot speak for father". Shiek took a sip from her tea. Her cup was more tepid than cold at this point, but it still tasted pretty nice. "Though you have my word I will not allow any harm to be done to him, or our subjects".
When her sister mentioned the gods and them being cryptic, Ziel let out what sounded like half a frown, half a chuckle. "I suppose that's part of being a deity, to be mysterious and cryptic, or perhaps they just operate on a level not comprehensible for us mere mortals".
She looked out the window herself, looking at the moon which was NOT blood red, luckily. "Though I believe the gods show you signs of what MIGHT be, not what WILL be, so do not be demoralized, we have faced darkness before and we can face it again".
Shiek conjured a kunai and lazily threw it up and down, catching it in her hand over and over. "Is there anything I can do to ease your troubles?", she asked. It was funny how Shiek, who had learned to lock away her feelings so she could remained disciplined and unaffected by the tricks of her foes, became so kind and nice around her sister, it was as if all the training melted away when she was around Zelda, and she became the same person she had been as a child.

There was a moment when Zelda's mind seemed to drift off, her gaze focused on the teacup as she watched liquid inside. She pulled herself back moments later and turned to look at Ziel, horrified that she had to mist some of the things her sister had just said. "Oh, I'm sorry, I let my mind wander a little there." She said with an apologetic smile. "You said something about darkness?" The princess returned her cup to the table next to the pot. "Ease my troubles? I do not know. Nothing I can think about right now but thank you for asking all the same." She paused, there was something she was forgetting, but what was that. She decided to leave it be and change the subject, she might remember it after that. "But enough about me and my dreams, there is nothing I can do about that now. How are you doing? I trust you are being treated well? I know Impa tells me you are doing just fine, but I would all the same want to know it from you"

Ziel smiled. Her sister was just as cloud-headed as always. "I know ONE thing I can do", she said with a smirk, and brought forth her harp. She began to gently play the very song the two had heard so many times growing up, one of the songs their mother had always sung when they were sad or feeling down. She played it rather quietly, enough so she could talk while playing it. The song was Zelda's lullaby. "I am being treated like everyone else, as per my own request. I don't want to be spoiled or treated different just because I am royalty. When I am among the Shiekah, I am one of them, treated the same way as everyone else. Sure, if I wanted I could play the royalty card, but I never would. My training is going exceptionally well, however I currently have nothing to do, no mission to go on, no adventure to be had, it is a bit dull". As she finished her sentence, she repeated the song once more but this time she hummed along with it. Ziel was, or at least HAD been before she 'disappeared', a brilliant vocalist known throughout the castle and even Castle Town, and had performed often when she was younger. The song had often been used by their mother to lull the two sisters to sleep, and Shiek hoped it would have that effect on her sister now as well, as the woman looked like she could use some sleep. Gods, she looked so worried! Ziel was worried too, but about her sister and her father (whom she was visiting next), and the entirety of the Realm, but as long as nobody gave her anything useful to do, she grew increasingly frustrated with every passing day.

Zelda smiled a little when Ziel started to play the lullaby, Zelda's lullaby, not that it was really named after her, but that is what it was called all the same. She also listened to what the twin said. "That is not really what I meant sweet sister." She replied slowly, looking out at the sky again. "But let me change the question, are the sheikah being treated well, and by extension you?" She closed her eyes, and feel into a moment of silence as she took deep breath of air. "Maybe I can help you with that, even if you might not be able to help me with my dreams, there are other things I could use your assistance with." Her eyes opened and she looked at the sibling across the table. "A letter arrived to father from Queen Shimnay D'Ambrosia Froshemdel, it arrived last day. It appears that her daughter Quinn is en route to our capital, and she should arrive before long unless something has slowed her down." Zelda put her fingers together. "I am certain she will have her own guards, but all the same I would need someone to keep an eye out for her safety during. At least in the start. I have this unsettling feeling that there are those would might attempt to harm her in order to fracture our relationship with our friends in the north" There was a moment of silence as Zelda examined her twin. "Do you think you could help me with that?"

Ziel nodded slowly to her sister's question. "Yes, the Shiekah, and thus me by extension, are being treated well. From our science division to the assassins, though there are SOME uproar among the subjects who are not too fond of the experiments we perform". The ninja let out a sigh. "It is true like Father said. You can't please everyone". When Zelda spoke of the assignment to go meet up with another princess, Ziel nodded. "Very well. I will find her. Do you know which route they will be traveling, so I know where to catch up with them? If it is urgent, I will get going immediately. Say hello to father for me, will you?". Ziel put her mask back on, hung her harp back in place and now just stared lazily at the moon, one arm resting on her knee, her other leg dangling freely while awaiting response from her sister.
